UnMasking, Brene Brown has stated that a humans basic need is belonging and that the opposite of that is fitting in. When we work at fitting in, often times that causes us to wear masks. This is a reminder to let the masks fall. Im am learning what it means to show up as my real self. Feel free to share what showing up in authenticity means to you.

    The Message , sometimes I feel the need to retreat, most days start with reflection, asking questions, like, why am I feeling down, or worried, if I stay long enough and listen, the answers come. The warm light surrounding her feels like she is bathed in healing.
    The panther can move through darkness with confidence and it is often associated with carrying messages from the subconscious, many times I don’t know what Im feeling, I know that the subconsious mind is about 80% of what we think and feel, the hard part is accessing that and bringing it to the conscious mind. She is holding a “message” in her hand, the unopened letter represents truths, that often arrive before we are ready to receive them. Bottom line for me, I need to be still and know…..

    Longing portrays being suspended between longing and contentment. It speaks to the tension of knowing there are still things left undone in this life—places yet to return to, callings yet to answer, and dreams still unfolding—while resting in gratitude for all that God has already given. The flowing fabric is carried by an unseen force, symbolizing the quiet movement of grace, memory, and divine guidance that shapes our journey even when the destination remains beyond sight. Inspired by my time in Greece, where beauty, creativity, and reflection converged in a deeply meaningful way, this painting captures the ache of yearning and the peace of trust existing side by side.
